The i8 is an all-wheel drive plug-in hybrid sports car. With scissor doors that glide upward when opened and blend perfectly when closed, the sporty character of the i8 is immediately recognizable. The i8 is designed to maximize aerodynamics and optimize efficiency. Its body shape is markedly low and forward, which cuts drag during driving. The i8 features a TwinPower Turbo 3-cylinder combustion engine placed in the rear axle which is controlled by a six-speed automatic transmission. When planning a route the system takes battery level, current traffic, and topographical conditions into consideration, even displaying charging stations along the route. An 11 speaker Harman Kardon Surround Sound System is available as well. The BMW i Remote App, allows you to stay in control of your i8 at any time.
